About This Trail
An easy 2.4-mile loop through Oak Openings Preserve Metropark’s wetland habitats near Toledo, offering some of the best birding access in northwest Ohio. The trail passes through the 5,000-acre preserve’s marshes and wet meadows where great blue herons, sandhill cranes, and other waterbirds frequent the rare inland dune ecosystem.
