About This Trail
An 8.7-mile loop through Waterloo State Recreation Area weaving through hardwood forests, open meadows, and small wetland areas with gentle climbs and descents. The trail is often considered the perfect introduction to the DTE Energy Foundation trail system, balancing technical features with flowing terrain. Part of a larger 47-mile trail network with lake and cabin access.
