About This Trail
A 6.7-mile segment of the 4,600-mile North Country National Scenic Trail crossing through Oak Openings Preserve, a rare inland sand dune and oak savanna ecosystem in northwest Ohio. The sandy trail traverses globally rare oak openings habitat, wet prairies, and savanna grasslands found nowhere else in the state.
