About This Trail

One of the Hudson Valley’s most challenging hikes, beginning with a sustained Class 3 rock scramble up steep, exposed slabs above the Hudson River near Cold Spring. Multiple loop options range from 2 to 4 hours. Stunning panoramic views of the Hudson Highlands unfold from the ridgeline above.

Getting There

From Cold Spring, drive north on Route 9D approximately 2 miles. Pass through the tunnel and park immediately on the left. The white-blazed trail starts on the west side of Route 9D near the tunnel.
