About This Trail

A steep climb beginning on the course of the historic Beacon Incline Railway, once the world’s steepest funicular, to the ruins of the 1920s Beaconcrest Casino and a 60-foot fire tower built in 1931. The tower summit at 1,610 feet offers views of the Manhattan skyline, Catskills, and Shawangunks. One of the Hudson Valley’s most rewarding ascents.
