About This Trail

A 2.5 to 3.5-mile loop in Storm King State Park with a few steep sections and one minor scramble, offering spectacular views up and down the Hudson River. Overlooks take in Bannerman’s Castle, Breakneck Ridge, Newburgh Bay, and the Catskills in the distance. On sunny days, the river below fills with sailboats.

Getting There

From Cornwall-on-Hudson, take Route 9W north. The Storm King parking lot is on the left side at 1750 US Route 9W. Take the orange-blazed access trail from the north end of the lot to begin.
