About This Trail

Circling the 218-acre Burke Lake on a gravel path just 25 minutes from Washington, D.C., this 4.7-mile loop was named one of America’s top ten fitness trails by the American Hiking Society. Marked fitness stations, benches with lake views, and an orienteering course add variety to this popular Fairfax County walk.

Getting There

From Fairfax, take Route 123 south (Ox Road). The Burke Lake Park entrance is on the right, approximately 6 miles south. Follow park roads to the lakeside parking area where the loop trail begins.
