About This Trail
This 5.4-mile flat paved segment of the Michael N. Castle Trail follows the north bank of the C&D Canal toward Delaware City, offering long sightlines of ocean-going cargo ships navigating one of the world’s busiest commercial waterways. The smooth, wide path is part of a 12.1-mile trail connecting to Maryland’s Ben Cardin Trail, with benches, rest stations, and interpretive kiosks along the route.
