A boardwalk and forest loop through a rare high-elevation Atlantic white cedar swamp in High Point State Park. The unique bog ecosystem supports sphagnum moss, pitcher plants, and other uncommon species at 1,500 feet elevation. A quiet, easy walk contrasting with the rocky ridgeline trails nearby.

Getting There

From Sussex, take Route 23 north to High Point State Park at 1480 NJ-23. The Cedar Swamp Trail circles through the Dryden Kuser Natural Area, accessible from parking areas along County Road 519 or NJ-23.
