About This Trail

Flat trails through the 48,000-acre Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge on the Atlantic Flyway, one of the world’s premier birding hotspots with over 360 recorded species. An 8-mile auto-tour Wildlife Drive and multiple hiking trails wind through saltwater marsh and upland forest. Observation towers at Gull Pond and Turtle Cove provide elevated marsh views.

Getting There

From Atlantic City, take US-9 north approximately 10 miles to the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge entrance at Great Creek Road, Oceanville. The Wildlife Trail begins at the visitor contact station.
