About This Trail

Winding along the shoreline of a 260-acre spring-fed lake in Holly Springs National Forest, this trail passes a covered bridge to a small island near the swimming beach. Large white oaks, shortleaf pines, and tulip poplars shade the path, and a reconstructed mound marks an ancient Native American ceremonial site.
