About This Trail
A short climb to Chickies Rock, a prominent quartzite cliff rising 200 feet above the Susquehanna River in Lancaster County with panoramic views upstream and downstream. The overlook is one of the best river viewpoints in south-central Pennsylvania. The surrounding 422-acre county park preserves habitat on a geologically significant ridge of Cambrian-era quartzite.
