About This Trail

Descending through dense mature hardwood forest called the Dismal, this pink-blazed connector drops steeply toward Jones Gap in the 40,000-acre Mountain Bridge Wilderness. Narrow footpaths trace the base of rock formations along the Blue Ridge escarpment.

Getting There

From Greenville, take US-276 northwest approximately 25 miles to Caesars Head State Park. Drive 1 mile past the park entrance and turn right into the Raven Cliff Falls parking area for Dismal Trail access.
