About This Trail
A 2-mile sandy climb to the top of the Grand Sable Dunes, perched high above Lake Superior near Grand Marais. These perched dunes rise over 300 feet above the lakeshore and offer sweeping views of the Au Sable Light Station coastline. Expect loose sand and exposed conditions with no shade on the open dune.
