About This Trail

A 5.8-mile moderate hike through Jamaica State Park along the West River Trail to Vermont’s tallest waterfall at 125 feet. The flat riverside approach gradually climbs to the dramatic cascade, which is best viewed from established overlooks due to dangerously slippery conditions near the pools.

Getting There

From Jamaica, take VT-30/VT-100 south and turn right on Depot Street. Continue 0.5 miles to Jamaica State Park. The Hamilton Falls Trail begins via the West River Trail from the park's main gate.
