About This Trail

Nearly 100 sturdy wooden stairs descend to a boardwalk platform hanging over the edge of the New River Gorge, 585 feet above the water. Named for a legendary tale of two lovers from rival tribes, this quick descent delivers one of Hawks Nest’s most dramatic overlook experiences.
