About This Trail

Starting at Canyon Rim Visitor Center, this accessible boardwalk leads to panoramic views of New River Gorge and the iconic 3,030-foot New River Gorge Bridge. An upper ramp reaches a flat viewpoint, while 178 steps descend to a lower overlook closer to the 876-foot-deep canyon.

Getting There

From Fayetteville, take US-19 north across the New River Gorge Bridge. Take the first right to the Canyon Rim Visitor Center at 162 Visitor Center Road, Lansing. The boardwalk trail starts at the parking lot.
