About This Trail
This 1.6-mile sandy spur route branches off toward shoreline overlooks at Herring Point, one of Cape Henlopen’s most scenic beach areas popular with surfers and surf fishers. The trail crosses open dune habitat with views of the Atlantic Ocean, navigating loose sand that adds moderate challenge on the approach to the elevated bluff viewpoints.
