About This Trail
This 1.1-mile interpretive loop traverses the Great Dune area of Cape Henlopen, where massive sand formations actively migrate across the landscape and bury portions of the maritime forest. Hikers walk through shifting dune ecosystems with panoramic coastal views, learning about wind-driven sand movement through interpretive signage along the route.
