Climbing steeply from Slade into upper Hood Branch through dense hardwood forest, this loop reaches cliff-top views and terminates near Natural Bridge Arch. Winter reveals surrounding sandstone formations, though overgrown sections and mudslides require careful navigation in Powell County.

Getting There

From Slade, take Exit 33 off the Mountain Parkway and turn right onto KY-11. Continue 2.4 miles to Natural Bridge State Resort Park and follow signs to the Skylift parking area for Hood Branch Trail access.
