About This Trail
Marked with numbered signs every 25-30 yards through Congaree National Park’s old-growth floodplain, this remote trail passes towering loblolly pines, bald cypress, and water tupelo. GPS is recommended as floods regularly obscure the path, and Cedar Creek, South Carolina’s only Outstanding National Resource Water, must be crossed.
