About This Trail

Rolling trail through Poinsett State Park where South Carolina’s Sandhills meet the coastal plain, passing CCC-built coquina limestone shelter and grist mill ruins. Old Levi Mill Pond’s earthen dam anchors one end, while cypress swamps draped in Spanish moss and mountain laurel define the unique crossroads ecology.
