About This Trail

Located at Virginia’s only Eastern Shore state park, this trail winds through upland maritime forest and connects to the beach via boardwalks crossing coastal dune formations. Over 300 bird species have been spotted during migration along this major flyway on the Chesapeake Bay shore.

Getting There

From Cape Charles, take US-13 south for 3.7 miles. Turn left onto CR-645/Arlington Road, then left onto CR-704/Kiptopeke Drive. Follow it to the park entrance at 3540 Kiptopeke Drive.
