About This Trail

A 2.3-mile out-and-back on the Appalachian Trail to a rocky outcrop at 1,738 feet with panoramic views south over Salisbury, east to Twin Lakes, and north toward Bear Mountain and Mount Greylock. The final pitch scrambles up exposed ledge for a dramatic clifftop finish.

Getting There

From Salisbury, take Route 41 south. A small parking lot for the Lions Head Trail is located on the east side of Route 41. The trail follows the Appalachian Trail to the summit viewpoint.
