About This Trail

Rugged canyon scramble following Keyser Run through 11 stream crossings into a dramatic gorge carved by an ancient geological fault. Sheer cliffs and cascading waterfalls reward the 1,900-foot climb over 5.5 miles. One of Shenandoah’s most challenging and scenic backcountry experiences in the North District.

Getting There

From Sperryville, take US-211 north and turn left on CR-622 (Gidbrown Hollow Road). Continue to CR-614 (Keyser Run Road) and turn left. Follow the gravel road to the small parking lot at the trailhead.
