About This Trail

Moderate climb through open meadows and dense forest at Sky Meadows State Park near Paris, Virginia. Part of a 4-mile loop combining Rolling Meadows Trail, this route crosses the shoulders of Lost Mountain with pastoral views of the Piedmont Valley. Shared with horseback riders along well-marked paths.

Getting There

From Delaplane, take US-17 north to Sky Meadows State Park. Park at the trailhead off US-17 (no ranger station). The Lost Mountain Trail begins at the back of the parking lot on the Rolling Meadows Trail.
