About This Trail

A 3.2-mile scenic loop through the wooded interior bluffs of Mackinac Island State Park, which covers over 80 percent of the island. The trail winds past limestone formations, quiet forest glades, and shoreline viewpoints away from the busier carriage roads. No motorized vehicles are allowed on the island, ensuring a peaceful hiking experience.

Getting There

Take the Star Line or Shepler's ferry from Mackinaw City or St. Ignace to Mackinac Island. Walk along Huron Street to the Manitou trailhead, then follow signs to Arch Rock to access the Tranquil Bluff Trail.
