About This Trail

Blue-blazed 3.7-mile loop ascending to Harbison Bluffs, where a 180-degree panoramic view reveals the Broad River flowing through South Carolina’s Midlands. Starting with a steep ridge climb, the trail levels off through mixed pine-hardwood forest. Free admission with a $5 parking fee at this urban-edge state forest near Columbia.

Getting There

From Columbia, take I-26 west to Harbison Boulevard. Turn left, then right onto Broad River Road. The Harbison State Forest entrance is on the left at 5600 Broad River Road. Follow the gravel road to Parking Area 5.
