About This Trail

Ascend to Mount Lafayette, the highest peak outside the Presidential Range at 5,248 feet, via the exposed Franconia Ridge. The sustained alpine ridgeline between Lafayette and Lincoln ranks among the most spectacular trail walking in the eastern United States.

Getting There

From I-93, park at the Lafayette Place parking area in Franconia Notch near Exit 34B. The Old Bridle Path and Falling Waters Trail start from the east side of the lot for the Franconia Ridge loop.
