About This Trail
A steep climb to Mount Madison’s rugged 5,367-foot summit, the most northerly Presidential peak, with demanding rocky terrain above tree line. The AMC Madison Spring Hut provides a welcome waypoint on this exposed route, where hikers face some of the Northeast’s most severe weather conditions.
