About This Trail

A 6-mile round-trip ridge climb to the Mount Ojibway fire tower, offering 360-degree panoramic views across Isle Royale’s forested ridges and Lake Superior. The rocky trail passes through boreal spruce-fir forest with open ridgeline sections. The historic fire tower at the summit provides one of the best vantage points on the island.

Getting There

From Houghton, take the ferry or seaplane to Isle Royale National Park. Mount Ojibway Trail is accessible from the Greenstone Ridge Trail near Daisy Farm or from the East Chickenbone area.
