About This Trail
A 4.6-mile harbor-side route following the northeastern shore of Isle Royale past exposed volcanic rock formations, sheltered coves, and boreal forest. The trail connects Rock Harbor Lodge to Suzy’s Cave, a natural sea arch carved by ancient Lake Superior wave action. One of the most accessible day hikes on the island.
