About This Trail

Easy one-mile loop through oak-dominated woodland on Hot Springs National Park’s West Mountain, connecting to Canyon Trail and West Mountain Trail. Moderately steep descent near the visitor center levels out along the northeastern section. Scenic overlook offers views of Hot Springs and surrounding Ouachita Mountain ridges.

Getting There

From Hot Springs, take AR-7 south toward Lake Catherine State Park. The Oak Trail trailhead is located within Lake Catherine State Park off AR-171, accessible from the park's main entrance.
