A granite ridge climb along Pemetic Mountain’s scenic south ridge to broad summit vistas over Acadia’s interior lakes, Jordan Pond, and the island’s eastern coastline. The open ledge walking along the ridgeline provides sustained views throughout the ascent to the 1,248-foot summit.

Getting There

From Bar Harbor, enter Acadia National Park via the Park Loop Road. The Pemetic South Ridge Trail parking is in the Jordan Pond area. A small roadside parking lot near the Triad trailhead provides the closest access.
