About This Trail

One of Acadia’s wildest hikes, traversing the steep eastern face of Penobscot Mountain high above Jordan Pond via iron rungs, ladders, and narrow wooden staircases. The trail is typically closed March through August for peregrine falcon nesting, adding seasonal exclusivity to its dramatic cliff-edge views.
