About This Trail

A short climb to the popular Bubble Rock, a 100-ton glacial erratic balanced on the edge of South Bubble’s granite ledges overlooking Jordan Pond. The quick ascent rewards with classic Acadia views of the pond and the surrounding mountains, making it one of the park’s most photographed spots.

Getting There

From Bar Harbor, enter Acadia National Park via the Park Loop Road. Drive south past the Cadillac Mountain turnoff for 2.3 miles to the Bubbles parking lot. The trail starts at the north end of the lot.
