About This Trail
Steady climb at Sky Meadows State Park to upper and lower Piedmont Overlooks with sweeping views across Crooked Run Valley. On clear days, Dulles-area buildings emerge on the distant horizon. Benches at the 0.3-mile mark offer rest before the final push, and the trail connects to the Appalachian Trail via Ambassador Whitehouse Trail.
