About This Trail

Follow Old Rootville Road for two moderate miles to a flat bedrock overlook above the Lamoille River Valley, where 3,612-foot Sterling Mountain rises across the way. The Long Trail spur leads to a natural rock platform perfect for picnics with panoramic views.

Getting There

From Manchester, take Route 11/30 east about a quarter mile, then turn right onto East Manchester Road. Continue straight at the three-way stop onto Rootville Road; the parking lot is about 1 mile ahead.
