About This Trail

Hike past the iconic red-and-white candy-striped West Quoddy Head Light, the easternmost lighthouse in the United States, along dramatic 150-foot coastal bluffs. The 3.6-mile trail passes Gulliver’s Hole, a narrow sea chasm, and Green Point with views of the surging Bay of Fundy tides.

Getting There

From Lubec, take South Lubec Road (Route 189) south for about 4 miles to Quoddy Head State Park at 973 South Lubec Road. The Coastal Trail begins near the picnic area by the lighthouse.
