About This Trail
A scenic loop around the Great Head peninsula in Acadia National Park, climbing granite ledges to 145 feet above the Atlantic with panoramic views of Sand Beach and The Beehive. Hikers pass the ruins of a 1915 stone tea house atop the headland. The trail begins with granite steps at the far end of Sand Beach.
