About This Trail

A climb to the 440-foot summit on Acadia’s mainland Schoodic Peninsula, offering sweeping views across Frenchman Bay to Mount Desert Island and the open Atlantic. The quieter peninsula section of Acadia sees far fewer visitors than Mount Desert, providing a more contemplative hiking experience.

Getting There

From Winter Harbor, follow the Schoodic Loop Road around the peninsula. The Schoodic Head trailhead is off Blueberry Hill Road, a dirt road on the west side of the Schoodic Loop Road. Parking is at the end of Blueberry Hill Road.
