About This Trail

A rugged 5.5-mile loop over 761-foot Ragged Mountain near Berlin with expansive bare-rock vistas, vertical cliff faces, and views over cliff-side reservoirs. The traprock ridge is also a popular rock climbing destination, with vernal pools and a waterfall along the blue-and-red blazed route.

Getting There

From Berlin, take Route 71 south. Turn right onto West Lane and continue to where it bends left into Wigwam Road. The trailhead parking is on-street at this corner, about 0.75 miles west of Chamberlain Highway.
