About This Trail

Strenuous 4.4-mile round trip climbing 1,200 feet to Rainbow Falls, a 120-foot cascade plunging over a massive granite cliff in Jones Gap State Park. Beginning along the Middle Saluda River, the trail crosses a footbridge before ascending technical rock-and-wood stairs through dense Greenville County forest. Registration required at trailhead.

Getting There

From Greenville, drive north on US-276 to Caesars Head State Park. Continue 2.6 miles past the park entrance and turn right onto Solomon Jones Road to reach Jones Gap State Park and the Rainbow Falls trailhead.
