Secluded backcountry route along Rocky Flats Branch in Cherokee National Forest’s Tellico District, gaining over 3,000 feet through remote wilderness. Creek crossings and faint trail sections add challenge to this rarely traveled path near Vonore, Tennessee.

Getting There

From Gatlinburg, take US-441 south into Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The Rocky Flats Trail is accessible from the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail area off Historic Nature Trail road.
