About This Trail
A gentle 3.2-mile pond-side route from Roaring Brook Campground offering some of Baxter State Park’s most reliable moose sightings, especially at dawn and dusk. The trail skirts Sandy Stream Pond with stunning reflections of Mount Katahdin in calm water, connecting to the Russell Pond Trail for extended backcountry exploration.
