About This Trail

Climbing to the 3,930-foot summit on the east rim of Linville Gorge in Pisgah National Forest, this trail ducks under angled rock overhangs and through craggy cliffs. Summit views stretch across the entire Linville Gorge Wilderness, from Linville Falls north to Shortoff Mountain south.

Getting There

From Marion, NC, take US-221 north, then turn onto Highway 183 to Highway 181. Go south 3 miles on Highway 181 to Gingercake Road. Turn onto Road 1264 and follow 9.5 miles to the Table Rock trailhead.
