About This Trail

A 1.2-mile easy walk through Elk Neck State Park to the 1833 Turkey Point Lighthouse perched atop 100-foot bluffs overlooking the upper Chesapeake Bay. Hawks and bald eagles frequent the nearby Raptor Viewing Field. The lighthouse tower opens weekends from Easter through mid-November.

Getting There

From North East, take MD 272 south for about 8 miles through Elk Neck State Park. Continue 3 miles past park headquarters until the road dead-ends at the Turkey Point parking lot.
