Stretching 34 miles from Abingdon through Damascus to Whitetop Station, this legendary rail-trail crosses 47 trestles and bridges over mountain creeks and farmland. Bike shuttle services make the famous 17-mile downhill ride to Damascus one of America’s most popular cycling experiences.

Getting There

From I-81, take exit 19 onto US 58 East. Follow US 58 for 10.5 miles to Damascus. Continue to the trailhead parking on Beaver Dam Avenue near the red caboose and Damascus Town Park.
