About This Trail

Moderate 2-mile loop ascending to 4,930 feet on the highest sheer cliffs in eastern America, rising nearly 750 feet from the tree line. Peregrine falcons nest on the rock faces, and panoramic views from the summit stretch across Jackson County’s mountain landscape.

Getting There

From Cashiers, take US 64 west approximately 5 miles. Turn right onto Whiteside Mountain Road (SR 1600) and follow it 1 mile to the signed parking area on the left.
