About This Trail

White-blazed 16-mile loop through Virginia’s second-largest state forest, paralleling the Willis River through swampy lowlands and pine-hardwood uplands. Starting at the swinging bridge on Warner Forest Road, the route connects to Bear Creek Lake State Park across 16,154 acres of forest.

Getting There

From Cumberland, take Route 60 east and turn right on Trent's Mill Road (Route 622). Go 3 miles, then left on Oak Hill Road (Route 629) for 1.7 miles to the State Forest Office at 751 Oak Hill Rd.
